Many students and parents find that financing the cost of a college education is the most complex part of higher learning! They're often overwhelmed by the amount of paperwork that must be completed and the timelines that must be adhered to for securing federal student aid.
At SSSCU we urge members to begin the financing process as early as possible! Our
offices have information on the Student Loans offered through our lender partner,
Nelnet, and now applicants can log on to their website at
www.colledgeloans.com/ssscu/ to complete the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA form) online.
The FAFSA is the first step to apply for a low-interest subsidized or unsubsidized
Stafford Loan by undergraduate, graduate and professional students. We also have
PLUS Loan applications available for the parents of students.
