Membership
Eligibility to join Silver State Schools Credit Union (SSSCU) is based on a "common bond" field of membership. See the “Who Can Join” section of these web pages for a listing. By opening a membership savings account with the initial deposit of $100.00, you can take advantage of our many products and services.
How to Become a Member
Verify your eligibility by clicking on “Who Can Join.” Simply open up a Regular Savings Account with a $100 deposit ($25.00 initial deposit for Junior members, under the age of 18.) This is done by completing a membership application. When you open your new account, you will be given an identification card showing your SSSCU account number. We may ask you to present this card whenever business is transacted at the Credit Union branches. All credit union members receive quarterly statements reflecting activity on their Regular Savings or any Supplementary Savings Accounts, loans, or certificates. Members with Checking or Money Market accounts receive monthly statements. SSSCU's Money Minder, our newsletter, is sent to all members quarterly.
Once a Member, Always a Member
Regardless of your employment or residence after you become a member, you may retain your SSSCU membership with all its privileges. Furthermore, members of your family may still be eligible for membership even though you may have moved, retired or secured employment elsewhere.
