Junior Savings
A Junior Savings Account (for those under 18 years of age) is a terrific way to teach a child how to save and borrow sensibly. Open a Junior Savings Account for your child as a birthday, graduation or holiday gift to get them on their way. With a minimum opening deposit of only $25, this account provides Junior members the opportunity to build a savings account and learn about credit union benefits.
- Earn interest just as Adult Savings Accounts do
- Dividends are calculated on the Average Daily Balance and paid monthly. Click on Savings Rates for current rates on deposit accounts.
- Receive statements monthly
- Junior members' funds on deposit with the Credit Union are insured up to $250,000 per account by American Share Insurance (ASI), a private deposit insurer.
- Once a junior member reaches the age of 18, the account may convert to a MY Account electronic account (age 18 to 25), or to a Regular Adult Member account; with the appropriate minimum balance requirements.
