Annual Meeting Notice 
66th Annual Meeting of Members | 10am, Saturday, April 23, 2016 | McLeod Branch Training Room |4221 McLeod Drive, Las Vegas, NV

Silver State Schools Credit Union is pleased to announce that the following members have been nominated as candidates for three positions on the Board of Directors.  Further nominations may be forthcoming by petition (deadline  March 14, 2016).  The biographical information on these nominees follows:


Mitch Fox (Incumbent)
  • Community / Public Service; Member, SSSCU Board since 2000; Victory Christian Center since 1993; Seniors United since 1994; Citizens Comm. for Victims Rights from 1994-1998; Stop DUI from1994 to 1998
  • Career; City of North Las Vegas since 2014; The Church at South Las Vegas since 2008; Vegas PBS since 1978
  • Education; Degrees from UCLA and Westmoor with two National Press Foundation Fellowships on Telecommunications and Multiracial Society.
  • Statement of Purpose; To continue to bring the Credit Union back to preserving the “Members First” mission statement.
Teresa Yeoman (Incumbent)
  • Community / Public Service - Member/Secretary-Treasurer, SSSCU Board since 2007; Supervisory Committee (2001-2007);  Appeals Committee Member (1991-1998); Over 25 years LV resident 
  • Career - CCSD teacher since 1989; Member of Clark County School Teachers Asscn. since 1989, Member of National Council Teachers of Mathematics since 1994; Member of National Education Asscn. since 1989.
  • Education - BS from UNLV, Masters from UNLV in Curriculum and Education
  • Statement of Purpose: To continue the positive work my fellow board members and I have done to bring the Credit Union back to financial prosperity. 
Javier Trujillo (Nominee) 
  • Community / Public Service – Member, Community Advisory Board, UNLV School of Medicine, 2015; Member, Board of Directors Red Rock Canyon Interpretive Association – So. NV Conservancy, 2016; Chairman of the Board, LV Latin Chamber of Commerce, 2012-2014
  • Career – Director of Intergovernmental Relations, City of Henderson; State Political Director, Richardson for President, Inc.; Project Facilitator, Mariachi Education Program, CCSD.
  • Education – MBA, University of Phoenix; BS, University of Phoenix; University of Arizona.
  • Statement of Purpose: “As your representative on the SSSCU Board of Directors, my primary goals will be to optimize member services and to protect members’ assets through responsible financial stewardship. I am committed to the success of our organization and will make sure all decisions are made in the best interest of our members.”
Absent any qualified member petition, the election will not be conducted by ballot.  Nominations for the open positions may be made by petition signed by one percent (%) of the members with a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 500.  There will be no nominations from the floor at the Annual Meeting when there is at least one nominee for each position to be filled.
