Silver State Schools Credit Union is pleased to announce that the following member has been nominated as candidate for a position on the Board of Directors. Further nominations may be forthcoming by petition (deadline, March 20, 2023). The biographical information on the nominee is as follows:
Larry Moulton (Incumbent)
• Community/Public Service: Member, SSSCU Board, since 2020; SSSCU Supervisory Committee, 2018 – 2020; Board Member, Odyssey Charter School Board of Directors, since 2014
• Career: Retired, 2016 – Present; Owner, Business Manager, Business Development & Marketing, Williams Financial Group, NV/Desert Crest Financial, 2009 – 2015; VP/Business Development, Director of Marketing, Bank of Las Vegas, 2005 – 2009; Sr. VP/Business Marketing/Development Team Leader, Bank of Commerce, 2002 – 2005.
• Education: B.S. in Business Management/Marketing from Brigham Young University.
• Statement of Purpose: I have enjoyed my time of service on the Supervisory Committee and Board of Directors. I have learned a lot about the Credit Union and our focus on our members. I look forward to continued learning and also the ability to assist in training our employees about the valuable service they provide. Silver State Schools Credit Union will continue to be a strong financial entity and a valued community member.
Absent any qualified member petition, the election will not be conducted by ballot. Nominations for the open positions may be made by petition signed by one percent (%) of the members with a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 500. There will be no nominations from the floor at the Annual Meeting when there is at least one nominee for each position to be filled.
The 73rd Annual Meeting of Members will be a virtual meeting. A registration link to the virtual meeting will be provided at a later date. Information will be posted on the Credit Union’s website by visiting silverstatecu.com/news.
