In The News Call Out
April is known as Financial Literacy Month!

On Friday, April 14th, Silver State Schools Credit Union's President and CEO Scott A. Arkills teamed up with Mercedes Martinez, Radio Host for Mercedes in the Morning on Mix 94.1 FM & Silver State Schools Credit Union Brand Ambassador, to provide high school students at West Career and Technical Academy a financial literacy question and answer session.
During the class period, Scott and Mercedes broke down some key financial literacy tips, covering everything from the importance of establishing credit early to what factors impact a credit score and the benefits of credit union membership.

A big THANK YOU to the Video Production students in West Tech's Digital Media program for recording and editing the session to present it to a wider audience.

If you are an educator in Southern Nevada and are interested in hosting a financial literacy session with your students, please contact Silver State Schools Credit Union at marketing@silverstatecu.com.
