The Silver State Schools CU People Over Profit (POP) Foundation, the charitable arm of Silver State Schools Credit Union, is participating in Giving Tuesday, the global day of unity and giving. The POP Foundation's primary focus is elevating education and financial literacy to support initiatives that prepare Southern Nevada students for long-term success and fulfilling lives.
Your donation will help our People Over Profit Foundation give back to the community even more than we have already in 2021. Here are a few examples of our community giving:
SCHOLARSHIPS - Since 1989, we've awarded over $750,000 in scholarships to Nevada High School Seniors, with 10 scholarships awarded in 2021.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES - We collected and distributed over 450 backpacks and school supplies to our focus schools, Rex Bell and Stanford Elementary, and the Girls Athletic Leadership School (GALS).
CASH DONATIONS - We donated $13,500 to the following charities: The Garden Foundation, Leaders In Training, S.A.F.E. House, Southeast Career Technical Academy, The Lullaby Connection, and Three Square.
