Silver State Schools Credit Union (SSSCU), a Las Vegas based financial institution, celebrating over 70 years of serving its members, announces its Back to School Supply Drive benefiting the Silver State Schools CU People Over Profit (POP) Foundation. In partnership with the Las Vegas Lights FC, now through Saturday, August 7th, school supplies can be dropped off at Cashman Field during the upcoming Las Vegas Lights home games or at any of the ten SSSCU branch locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley and Henderson.
The POP Foundation supports educational programs and Southern Nevada nonprofit organizations that primarily work with students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade. The school supplies collected will help the POP Foundation fulfill its mission to equip Southern Nevada students by providing tools and resources that will benefit them for the upcoming school year.

“We are passionate about helping students in Southern Nevada obtain the necessary tools they need for their education” says Scott A. Arkills, President and CEO, Silver State Schools Credit Union. “Our members and our community have always been generous in donating school supplies that will benefit those in need. We are delighted to partner with the Las Vegas Lights FC to have an additional location where supplies can be collected.”

We are collecting backpacks, pocket folders, colored pencils, dry erase markers, construction paper, pencils, crayons, scissors, glue sticks, clorox wipes, kleenex, tape, highlighters, rulers, staplers, antibacterial hand soap, erasers, etc.
