SSSCU MADE A $10,000 DONATION TO THE AMERICAN RED CROSS MAUI DISASTER RELIEF

Silver State Schools Credit Union gave $10,000 to the American Red Cross for Maui’s recovery, through the People Over Profit Foundation.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the families and businesses impacted by the Maui wildfires. To aid Maui’s recovery efforts, Silver State Schools Credit Union (SSSCU), through the People Over Profit (POP) Foundation made a $10,000 donation to the American Red Cross. Additionally, several SSSCU employees  volunteered to help take telethon donation calls that were organized by the Southern Nevada American Red Cross chapter and broadcasted by KLAS Channel 8, on the evenings of August 15th and 16th.

As of Thursday, August 17th, the American Red Cross received over $300,000 in donations.

“The spirit and selflessness of the Las Vegas community cannot be underestimated,” asserts Scott A. Arkills, President and CEO of Silver State Schools Credit Union. “There was such an overwhelming response to support the Maui relief efforts, from both residents and businesses across the entire valley. We are proud to work alongside such a resilient community.”
