LAS VEGAS – August 7, 2025 – Silver State Schools Credit Union (SSSCU) announced the launch of its brand-new Financial Literacy podcast, The Financial Seeds Podcast, along with the unveiling of the Scott A. Arkills Production Studio, named in honor of President and CEO, Scott Arkills.
“We’ve centered our podcast around Financial Literacy because we believe it’s essential to helping our community,” said Mr. Arkills. “You’re never too young or too old to learn about Financial Literacy. This podcast is designed to empower listeners to grow and achieve things they might not believe are possible.”
Hosted by Education Liaison Manager JimDre Westbrook, The Financial Seeds Podcast is an extension of Silver State Schools Credit Union’s mission to equip the community with tools for long-term Financial Wellness, through relatable conversations and trusted local voices.
“Silver State Schools Credit Union is proud to lead the way in financial education across Southern Nevada,” said Mr. Westbrook. “Each new episode of The Financial Seeds Podcast will feature expert insights, practical tips, and real-life stories designed to help families grow their financial confidence.”
SSSCU has hosted over 250 Financial Literacy seminars and workshops in the past year and plans to use The Financial Seeds Podcast to further its Mission Statement of “being a financial partner for life,” and its Purpose Statement to “Inspire Trust by Prioritizing People Over Profit.”
